About Warabekan

The Warabekan is a museum of toys, nursery rhymes and children's songs.
We welcome everyone from children to adults to come and visit.

The egg-shaped sculptures outside the rooms and throughout the museum are symbols of birth and creation.
The Warabekan is a facility that has become a new landmark of Tottori City. Serving as a home for old nursery rhymes and children's songs, the museum was opened on July 7th, 1995 in commemoration of the success of the '89 Tottori World Toy Exposition.

The museum is an old-style structure with the restored exterior of the one-time Tottori Prefectural Public Library, and is filled with toys and songs of long ago. Come enjoy the various exhibits as you lose yourself in this ageless world of toys.
